Just as the Hasinai Indian girl named Angelina extended a "hand of friendship and welcome" to Spanish explorers in 1690, we welcome you to Angelina County, located in the heart of the East Texas pineywoods.
The Commissioners Court is the general governing body of the county. The Court is made up of the four county commissioners, each elected from one of the county’s four precincts, and the county judge who is elected countywide and who presides over the full Court. Commissioners Court meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 10:00 AM. All meetings are open to the public and citizens are urged to attend.
