Sealed proposals addressed to the Commissioners’ Court of Angelina County, Texas, will be received at the office of the County Commissioners, P. O. Box 908, Lufkin, Texas, 75902 until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the 29th day of September, 2021 for the purchase of the following equipment in accordance with the specifications now on file in the office of the County Commissioners, to wit:
All pine and hardwood located on approximately 32 acres of land located at the Angelina County Waste Management Center, located approximately 5 miles south of Loop 287 on FM 58.
Such competitive bids will, at said time, be publicly opened and read before the Commissioners’ Court and a contract or contracts for the purchase of such property shall be let at that time, or any time thereafter. The Commissioners’ Court has determined to acquire such property in accordance with the provisions of the Public Property Finance Act, Article 2368a.2. V.A.C.S. Bidders are advised that the Public Property Finance Act authorizes the governing body of the County to enter into such contracts on such terms and conditions that are deemed appropriate by the governing body. Any bidder selected will be required to enter into contracts approved by the Commissioners’ Court to evidence this obligation.
