NOTICE OF ANGELINA COUNTY’S INTENTION TO RECEIVE PROPOSALS
The Angelina County Commissioners Court will receive written proposals for management for the Angelina County Farmer’s Market, until 10;00 a.m., on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at which time the proposals will be open for review and consideration. The written proposals must be delivered to the office of the Angelina County Judge, located on the second floor of the Angelina County Denman Building, at 102 West Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75901, or mailed to the office of the Angelina County Judge at the following address: P. O. Box 908, Lufkin, Texas 75902.
The proposals will be presented to the Angelina County Commissioners Court, for the awarding of the management agreement, at the court’s regularly scheduled meeting, at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. The meeting will be held in the Angelina County Commissioners Courtroom, which is located in the Angelina County Courthouse Annex, at 606 East Lufkin Avenue, Lufkin, Texas.
Notice is given that the Commissioners Court desires to enter a management agreement with the successful applicant for a two-year term with the possibility of renewal. The Commissioners Court will award the agreement to the applicant who, in the opinion of the court, offers the proposal which is in the best interest of the County. The Commissioners Court, in awarding the contract, will give consideration to the terms of the proposal, to the relevant background and experience of the person submitting the proposal and to the financial amount of the bid or proposal.
Notice is also given that Angelina County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to further negotiate the terms of the desired management agreement with the successful applicant. The successful applicant will be required to enter a written management agreement with Angelina County, within ten days of the award, upon such terms as are agreeable to Angelina County, and failure to do so will result in the proposal being rejected and awarded to another applicant or in the property being resubmitted for new proposals.
